ENGAGING, OPEN & REAL

Public speaking, MC’ing and Media Commentary

Richie is a sought-after public speaker across topics ranging from drug and alcohol abuse, sexual consent and mental health.

His experiences working with professional and amateur fighters, and in social and community advocacy, has given Richie a real insight into the issues facing the New Zealanders who generally are hardest to reach – young people, people who struggle with homelessness, the justice system, violence and anger issues, mental health issues and drug and alcohol dependency. Bringing his special mix of raw honesty and personal credibility, he connects with audiences from corporates to prison inmates.

Richie is available as an experienced MC, speaker and media commentator.

Richie has appeared regularly on Newstalk ZB’s Nutters Club, TVNZ’s Breakfast and is often approached for comment by news organisations on topical issues.

His presentation did not skirt around any issues, rather it offered a realistic and meaningful depiction of the current state of our society. To speak about such controversial and uncomfortable topics and receive nothing but praise from your audience is truly remarkable.

Thank you for the skill and sensitivity you showed when working with our students earlier in the week. You have planted the seed to create deep and meaningful change in many of our young people.

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for last week's presentation at Kristin. I was a teacher who came along unsure as to what to expect and I have to say it was one of the best presentations for our young men that I have seen in a long time. What I really admired was your way that you connected with the boys and made them feel that there was no shame with feelings or being curious, but that there are boundaries and that healthy relationships is the end goal.
